The tonkatsu ramen is very delicious!!! My family, friends, and I usually drive far to eat authentic ramen but not anymore since Kyoto Ramen is open! Update: Came back another day and tried other ramens. I am impressed because our go-to ramen is Tonkatsu, but after today, our opinion changed. We ordered the beef shoyu and miso ramen. The miso ramen was so creamy and flavorful! The beef shoyu was equally flavorsome! People who gave negative reviews must have came at the grand opening because our waiter on both visits were attentive and our food arrived promptly. They should come again since it we was expected that they would be busy on the grand opening.

Great experience for some ramen. Aesthetics are nice. They have anime playing on one video wall and it looked like they had karaoke playing on the other video wall. The ramen and gyoza were delicious. We'll definitely be here again.

So I stopped in this place, Kyoto Ramen, expecting the standard ramen flair and I was wowed by the ambiance. Now the ramen was very good, but the decor in this place had you feeling like a Tokyo gaming Shibuya Crossing at night Yakuza bar, without the danger, of course, lol. The ramen was delicious, but if you're not mesmerized by the 12 panel monitor, or the bar length, playing space themed animated videos, are you even looking? The food was good, and had the beef ramen, with additional accoutrement add-ins, but seriously, I was always looking at the video monitors. This place can be overwhelming to the senses, and hopefully the flavor of the ramen is one of them but certainly the visuals are a part of them. I would say it's not cheap, maybe 20 per person though if you minimize your add-ins, it's probably pretty standard price for a good Lake County lunch. The ramen was served quick and hot and the service was good but remember to push the button to get ahold of your server for immediate attention. I hope this place does well because it's a unique place in the area. Enjoy!!

Went here with a friend to have her try Japanese food for the first time and I was astonished. Loved the wall art and lighting they had in there. Multi screen TV had animated playing on it, and the call buttons on the table were really cool. Only gripe is that I'm pretty sure I asked for shrimp stir fry and I got chicken, which still tasted amazing

I'm picky about ramen, but this place is one of my favorites. The soup is flavorful, made with wholesome ingredients, and perfect for winter and cold weather. If you're looking for authentic ramen, this is the spot. The staff is friendly, I'll definitely return to try more dishes.
